National Trails
Pacific Crest Trail - From Canada to Mexico this 2665 mile trail is longer than the Appalachian Trail. Permits are required.
Continental Divide Trail - Cutting through Yellowstone National Park, this 3000 mile trail is an adventure. Also see GORP's features on this trail.
Pacific Northwest Trail - A foot, horse and mountain bike trail from the Continental Divide to the Pacific Ocean.
Regional Trails
Superior Hiking Trail - Over 200 miles of trail along the largest fresh water lake in the world, Lake Superior.
Vermont Long Trail - The oldest long-distance trail in North America, this 270 mile trail spans the states Green Mountains.
Colorado Trail - Denver to Durango, this 500 mile trail offers a great challange.
Virgin River Narrows - A one way trek through groves of sycamore trees and a 2000 foot tall red rocks. This is a water trail but the depth is around 6 inches.
